Presentation of the 3rd edition of the "Luxembourg Industry and Research Capabilities for Security & Defence" catalogue
On the occasion of the international Eurosatory exhibition for land and air defence and security, where Luxembourg has a national pavilion, the third edition of the "Luxembourg Industry and Research Capabilities for Security & Defence" catalogue was unveiled. This publication was produced by Luxinnovation, in collaboration with the Directorate of Defence.
The aim of this publication is to present the current capabilities of Luxembourg's industry and research organisations as providers of solutions that meet the needs of Euro-Atlantic security and defence.
This catalogue has been designed to encourage potential European and international partners to explore partnership opportunities in research, development, and innovation in Luxembourg.
This directory lists nearly 90 Luxembourg companies from various economic sectors as well as several departments of the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
The catalogue is organised around five capability domains: land, air, naval, cyber and, space. It lists, on a voluntary basis, entities active in each domain, presented in the form of summaries outlining their activities and their services or products.
"As a trusted partner of the Directorate of Defence, Luxinnovation helps all these actors integrate into the European defence value chain, meet key partners, and access acquisition and innovation programmes within the European Union and NATO," said Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation.
"The Luxembourgish industry and research centres have the necessary expertise to integrate into the European or NATO value chain in the field of defence. It is important to support and assist them in developing dual-use products and innovative solutions that meet the needs of Euro-Atlantic security and defence," added Yuriko Backes, Minister of Defence.
