Handing over of the "75 years of NATO" stamp

On 15 March 2024, the souvenir frame of the stamp commemorating the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) was handed over by Claude Strasser, Managing Director of POST Luxembourg, to Yuriko Backes, Minister of Defence.

    "75 years of NATO" special stamp

The NATO alliance was officially created on 4 April 1949 in Washington, USA, with the signing of the North Atlantic Treaty by 12 founding states, including Luxembourg. The deterrence and collective defence of the Euro-Atlantic area, the preservation of freedom, human rights and democratic values have been at the very heart of this Alliance of 75 years. Luxembourg's commitment to NATO's values and to the principles of solidarity and unity remains unwavering.
